Our family has been privileged to share life with Levi for 17 years.

Levi had a compassionate heart by lifting up the underdog in all ways. Encouraging our family and friends with passion, loyalty and love.

Levi was quick witted, funny, and had a talent for remembering and reciting funny “one liners” from his favorite movies! He loved movies as a child, The Fox and the Hound was always his number one pick. When we got a new puppy in 2008, Levi named our golden retriever, Copper, from the movie of his childhood. As he grew, superhero’s came into the picture. Batman was his ultimate hero. For many years he wore the cap and mask, saving his sisters from all evil!

From the time Dad backpacked him in his cameo up the mountain to see the elk at three years old, hunting became important to him. Very quickly he became excellent at calling in the elk, and shared his passion with family and friends.

Levi’s faith was strong, and his desire was to live for God. Yet depression and drugs became a stronghold as he turned 15.

This was Levi’s favorite scripture, Romans 7:14

“What I don’t understand about myself is that I decide one way, but then I act another. I do things that I absolutely despise. So if I can’t be trusted to figure out what is best for myself and then do it, it becomes obvious that Gods strength is necessary.”

This became his favorite verse, for he found struggles and frustrations as others had experienced, but now with a possibility of HOPE.

 

Although he never lost hope in God, his illness caused him to take his life.

Through Leviʼs tragedy, people have made changes in their lifestyles, broken down walls and built bridges by redeeming relationships. They have found hope, truth, the significance of life, and relationships.
